March Meeting

President remarks – Greetings to new members and guests. March full of member’s birthdays.

Membership – 98 members in attendance and 2 new members

Sunshine – 2 cards were sent out

We care quilts – 89 Torques and 56 preemie quilts

Program/Workshops – We welcomed a former quild member Bridget Red who did an very interesting talk on the world of quilt travel. A local bus trip May 28 has been arranged. At the time of the meeting the bus was almost full.

Publicity – Upcoming events Mar

Spring Retreat – Packages available for pickup for those registrated. Do not forget to bring serving spoons for your dish that you will be bringing for the potluck.

Fall Retreat – 19 have registrared for the retreat. 11 more spaces available. If not full by April meeting we will be opening up to other quilds. Cost $510.

Quilt Show – Registration forms are on the website and deadline is Sept 15. Show setup will be Oct 21. Silent action and gift basket items donations are still need. Still need items for the boutique. 70 challenge kits have been handed out.

New Business

Scholarship policies were reviewed and some changes were made. Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation is looking for volunteers to sew edging on blankets. If interested in helping please contact Wendy.
