Membership – We had 3 Guest & 6 new members total of 102 members in attendance.

Sunshine – 1 card was sent out.

We care Quilts – 74 toque, 19 NIC pad, 11 preemie quilts and 4 lap quilts.

Program/Workshops – Dec 4 meeting will be a Hawaiian Christmas theme. Please bring 2 1/2″  45″ long jelly roll strip in Xmas fabric.

Taking registration for May 14, 2016 workshop Cost $50.00. Autumn Splendour Bag with Shelley and Bernie of The Little Oak Pattern Co. Workshop will be held at Burnaby Centre for Community Inclusion (drop in location)

We had Wanda Mowry as our guest and she showed us many of her beautiful quilt. She will be doing a workshop on Nov. 14.

February 2016 meeting we will be having a quilt bingo and a preemie quilt challenge animal theme.

  • Quilt Guild Bingo Game card instructions   Materials for 1 (10 ½ inch) card Each fabric must be chosen from one of the following categories: batik, floral, geometric, heart, leaf, metallic, holiday, novelty, paisley, plaid, solid, star, stripe, or 1930s print. Use a black print for the centre square.   5  – 2 ½“ squares assorted yellow and orange prints 5 – 2 ½“ squares assorted red prints 5 – 2 ½” squares assorted blue prints 5 – 2 ½” squares assorted green prints 5 – 2 ½” squares assorted pink and purple prints 1 – 2 ½” square black print   Block Assembly
  1. Referring to drawing of blocks, join 5 yellow/orange print squares to make 1 row. In the same manner, make 1 red, 1 blue, and 1 green row.
  2. Join 2 pink/purple squares. Make 2 pink/purple pairs. Join one pink/purple pair to each side of the black square to complete pink/purple row.
  3. Join rows, placing pink/purple row in the centre, to complete 1 Bingo Game Card block.

Fall retreat – Nov 20-22 full Theme is Xmas at the cabin.

Spring retreat – April 22 at Camp Squeah.  Full

Community quilt – 5 more blocks need. Aim is to have it completed by Feb. 2016.

Quilt show – Looking for quilting magazine 2000 or later to sell at the boutique. Looking for items for the boutique so start sewing and quilting.

Old Business – Heather needs AGM reports by Dec. Blue Mountain business cards available from Heather.  Still looking for titles for Library Book fund. Please submit to publicity1.bmqg@gmail.com
