PIZZA BOX ROUND ROBIN CHALLENGE 2025

Round Robins are a fun way to push your creative boundaries.  Depending on the round robin, this might be with a block or a strip.  Our round robin will be with strips or rows.

A round robin is started with you making the centre block.  The block’s size may be any where from 12” to 16” per side.  It can be rectangular!  It can be pieced appliqued, painted, or a pretty panel, whatever you want as long as it fits in that size.

You have all of November and December to make your centre block.  We will hand out Pizza Boxes to you which will be numbered, your block and any instructions go into the box with your centre block.  Include in the box any fabrics which you would like used, the inspiration for your centre block (if you had one) and any other instructions.

Each month starting in January, bring your Pizza Box to the guild meeting, they will be exchanged and given to someone else to complete the next row or strip.  That gives us five months or five rows.  In June the end result will be shown at the guild meeting.  You then take it home and finish it.  The instructions for each row or strip will be given when the boxes are exchanged.

IF YOU HAVE TO MISS A MEETING, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT THE PIZZA BOX DOES ATTEND!

You can make it as a gift for an adult or a child, as a donation quilt or even to keep for yourself.  It is up to you!  Did I mention that we would like to show the finished quilts in our next quilt show?
